Alongside his built work, Japanese architect Terunobu Fujimori has spent years documenting the traces of ephemeral patterns of behaviour in Tokyo, from tracks left by cyclists following a shortcut to the graffiti a branch makes on a wall. In conversation with the artist Richard Wentworth, Fujimori will discuss this work on the ‘urban subconscious,’ as well as his commission for the 1:1 - Architects Build Small Spaces exhibition and the ancient forms of vernacular architecture that have inspired him.
