Japan Day 2010 in Manchester

JSNW is organising its third Japan Day this year. The venue is the prestigious Midland Hotel in Manchester.

The on-stage programme includes taiko drumming performances, and demonstrations of kimono dressing, aikido, kendo, iaido and bojutsu.

Doors open at 11:00 am and entry is free!

The first prize in our Japan Day Raffle will be two air tickets to Japan, donated by Finnair.
Fly from Manchester to Tokyo, Nagoya or Osaka.

Tickets cost £1 each and are only available on the day.

This will take place in Manchester and will be the third Japan Day in 6 years.

The schedule of events will be similar to Japan Day 2008 which included:

11:00 Doors Open
11:30 Formal Opening by Japanese Ambassador and the Lord Mayor of Liverpool
12:00 Bo-Jutsu, Aikido and Iaido13:00 Taiko Drummers by Tamashii School of Taiko
13:30 Kendo
14:00 Bo-Jutsu. Sushi Demonstration and then the Koto
15:00 and 16:00 Aikido and Kendo and Taiko
