The Chair of the European Association for Japanese Resource Specialists (EAJRS), Professor Willy Vande Walle (Catholic University of Leuven) will deliver the September Third Thursday Lecture. The Professor was presented with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon in spring 2006.
Every third Thursday of the month, the Sainsbury Institute hosts a lecture on a topic related to the art and culture of Japan. Talks last for fifty minutes and are followed by refreshments. Admission is free and all are welcome, though booking is essential and should be made at least two days before the lecture.
