In connection to the premiere of Park Chan-wook’s (Old Boy, Lady Vengeance) latest film Thirst, which is to be screened at the Curzon Soho on Monday 5th October, we are delighted to invite you to an exclusive screening of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance with a Q&A with director Park to follow after the film on Tuesday 6th October at 7pm at the Korean Cultural Centre in our Multi-Purpose Hall.

The Q&A will begin at 9pm and a reception will then follow. This event is strictly invitation only and you will be joining other esteemed guests – these range from academics to those who work in the film industry. The film has been chosen by director Park himself and we are extremely delighted that he has agreed to come to the Korean Cultural Centre, so we can put on this momentous event.

This event is part of a Park Chan-wook themed month at the Korean Cultural Centre; we are also screening director Park’s I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK on 8th October and Old Boy on 22nd October at the Korean Cultural Centre.

As above suggests, this is all in connection to the release of director Park’s Thirst, which is premiering at a separate event at the Curzon Soho on 5th October – director Park is also doing a Q&A after this screening. If you would like tickets for this event, please refer to the Curzon website: www.curzoncinemas.com. Released by Metrodome and Tartan Palisades, the film goes on general release on 16th October and is expected to further cement Park Chan-wook’s reputation as one of East Asia’s leading and cutting edge film directors. The film has already won the Jury Prize at the renowned Cannes Film Festival.

If you would like to join us at this rare and exclusive screening of Sympathy of Mr. Vengeance with a Q&A to follow, please email info@kccuk.org.uk or call +44 (0)20 7004 2600. Booking is essential as places are extremely limited and are strictly reserved to invitees only. If you would like to watch either I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK and/or Old Boy here at the Korean Cultural Centre, please call us on the number above, or email us, since booking is essential.
