The University of Brighton is delighted to be able to host a seminar and reception, on the afternoon and early evening of 11 May 2009, to discuss business-university linkages in the UK and Japan. This occasion also marks the Second Annual research conference between the universities of Brighton and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, whose ground-breaking relationship highlights the possibilities of further development of the university-industry interface of providing a route to market for new technology and new companies.
The seminar will investigate how universities support industrial innovation with each country. The reception will allow more information to be given regarding the possibility of collaborative activities. During the reception, music will be provided by Taichi Imanishi, a Brighton student, and notable percussionist.
Taichi is currently exploring his next steps with a London Conservatoire who has offered him a place for the next academic year.
