Conference "Climate Change: a New Landscape?"

Following the UN Climate Change conference in Poznan, this event will provide an overview of international progress made at the major Climate events in 2008. Reviewing the targets from the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit to the impacts of the US Election and the new landscape on the road to the 2009 UN conference in Copenhagen.

The following chairs and speakers have been invited to address the following areas:

The long term goals: The G8 mid-Century target: what does it imply?
Chair: Giovanni Brauzzi (Minister and Deputy Head, Embassy of Italy)
Speakers: Michael Grubb (Chairman, Climate Strategies) and Junichi Fujino (Senior Researcher, National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan)

The road to Copenhagen
Chair: Michael Grubb (Chairman, Climate Strategies)
Speaker: Shinsuke Sugiyama (Director General for Global Issues, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan), Paul Watkinson (International Coordinator, Mission Interministérielle de l'effet de serre, France) and Thomas Brewer (Associate Professor, Georgetown University, USA)
